Guangdong Tea Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Guangcha Group"), formerly the Guangdong Tea Company established in 1950, integrates tea planting, processing, scientific research and development, and domestic and foreign trade. It is a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization. It has maintained the national leadership in tea export volume for 30 consecutive years, and ranks among the top in green tea exports in the world. It has nearly ten well-known brands covering different fields in the industry, and is a tea industry chain brand operator with the ability to integrate and operate the global tea resource supply chain.

“Tea is the national drink, and Hangzhou is the capital of tea.” Guangcha Group is headquartered in Hangzhou, the tea capital of China. It focuses on tea, combines trade and industry, and develops diversified products. Its products cover tea, tea products, tea machinery, organic agricultural products, etc., and its sales network covers more than 60 countries and regions around the world. The group has established more than 20 Sino-foreign joint ventures, wholly-owned enterprises, and holding companies, with branches in the United States, Japan, and Mali, and representative offices in Uzbekistan, Morocco, Algeria, and Pakistan.

The group has a history of 70 years in tea business. It combines traditional manufacturing with modern process innovation. Its products have become tea for high-end conferences such as the G20 and the 2017 World Internet Conference. In recent years, Guangzhou Tea Group has taken "tea to connect the Belt and Road, and harmoniously integrate east and west, north and south" as its guiding goal, giving full play to its advantages in international trade, actively responding to the national "Belt and Road" initiative, and expanding the tea market in countries and regions along the route. The group focuses on building four major centers and focuses on establishing a strategic basis for the upgrading of the tea industry: a bulk export tea center with large-scale innovative operation, a multi-functional special tea center with outstanding characteristics and advantages, a comprehensive domestic trade center built by resource coupling, and a tea health industry center with cross-border concept innovation. The Group actively participates in the construction of the national industry platform, actively undertakes the tea product research and evaluation base of the WTO/TBT-SPS National Notification and Consultation Center, and the "China-Austria Organic Demonstration Tea Garden" project jointly constructed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Austria.
